Morgan Chawla
Morgan Chawla (she/her) is a family lawyer and accredited mediator who brings a practical, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to resolving family disputes. A proud Métis woman, she supports individuals and families through complex transitions with empathy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity. Drawing on her experience working in multiple countries, Morgan brings strong cross-cultural awareness to her mediation practice, helping clients feel understood and respected regardless of their background or circumstances.
Morgan’s Métis identity informs the way she approaches conflict resolution and relationship-building. She recognizes that many Indigenous families have experienced historical and ongoing barriers within legal systems, including the lasting impacts of colonialism, intergenerational trauma, and distrust of adversarial processes. In her mediation practice, she strives to create a process that feels respectful, collaborative, and empowering.. Morgan works to ensure Indigenous clients feel comfortable bringing their full experiences and values to the table.
With years of experience practicing family law, Morgan brings a strong understanding of the legal and practical realities families face during separation and divorce. She is deeply committed to out-of-court resolution and has successfully settled the majority of her files without the need for litigation. Having acted as counsel on dozens of mediations, Morgan understands what drives successful outcomes and uses this practical experience to help parties reach tailored, durable, and legally enforceable agreements that support long-term stability and reflect each family’s unique needs and priorities.
Maggie House
Maggie House (she/her) is a family lawyer and accredited family law mediator committed to helping individuals and families navigate separation and parenting disputes with clarity, dignity, and practical, resolution-focused strategies. Maggie has served as a Supervising Lawyer with Rise Women’s Legal Centre, supporting family law advocate programs in rural and remote communities throughout the province. She has also worked closely with Indigenous families living on reserve as Family Duty Counsel to central coast communities, giving her valuable insight into the cultural, geographic, and systemic barriers many families face when accessing legal services. Her work is grounded in respect, compassion, and a commitment to ensuring all parties feel heard and treated fairly throughout the dispute resolution process.
As a mediator, Maggie takes a trauma-informed and balanced approach, recognizing the emotional complexity of family disputes while maintaining a steady focus on resolution and forward movement. Drawing on her experience as a practicing family lawyer, she helps clients understand the legal realities of family law matters, identify key issues, and work toward practical, durable agreements outside of court. Her calm, thoughtful style and strong communication skills help parties engage in productive discussions that prioritize the well-being of families and children.
Noémie Gagnon-Bergeron
Noémie Gagnon-Bergeron (she/her) is a family law lawyer and accredited family law mediator who focuses on helping clients resolve disputes in a way that is both practical and sustainable. Fully bilingual in English and French, she offers mediation services in both languages and brings a thoughtful, structured approach to each file. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Dispute Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London, where she developed a strong foundation in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Noémie’s mediation practice is grounded in the belief that the best outcomes are those shaped by the people directly involved. Her interest in out-of-court dispute resolution has grown through her work with families, where she has seen how adversarial processes can escalate conflict and strain relationships. In mediation, she focuses on creating a balanced and respectful process that encourages meaningful dialogue and forward-looking solutions. She works with parties to move beyond positions, identify what truly matters, and reach agreements that are realistic, durable, and tailored to their lives.
